My Approach
How I Can Help
Here are some general reasons people have reached out to start therapy, and areas where I can be helpful:
-
A friend, family member or other loved one drinks or uses drugs, and it affects you
-
Your own drinking or drug use bothers you in some way or has in the past
-
You're going through a major life change, or will be soon, and want to prepare or get support - a wedding, moving in with someone, coming out, weight loss, an exam, a break-up
-
Your experiences have caused you to have a new or different perspective on things than the people around you, and you want to find out if you're the only one
-
Someone close to you is telling you you should talk to someone
-
You are experiencing worry, preoccupation, frustration or sadness around something specific and need support

Coaching for Clinical Leaders
I've served as a thought-partner and sounding board for clinicians in leadership positions, working to navigate the politics and dynamics of their workplaces. I've helped professionals in medical settings, community health, federally-qualified health centers and venture-backed start-ups. Because of my background and training in psychotherapy, our work will be sound and ethically-based.
